On Sunday, February 12, we received 11 new members! We celebrate with them and welcome them to the UUMC Family! Be sure to introduce yourself and say ‘hello’ when you see them!
Timothy Allswede and Michelle Weston
Tim and Michelle first came to UUMC back when they were MSU Students. They were active in the MSU Wesley Student Ministry and now are happy to be back at UUMC with their children, Wesley and Parker. They love the inclusivity and warmth of UUMC.
Matt and Cassie Davenport
Matt and Cassie Davenport found UUMC during the pandemic and are excited to join and grow in faith with their daughters, Dorothy and Violet. They feel welcomed and at home here.
Alex Taylor is excited to join his spouse Ashlie Taylor as a member of UUMC. Alex and Ashley have two daughters, Katherine and Caroline. Alex loves the accepting community here and the focus on putting faith into action.
Cheryl Whipple is transferring to UUMC from the Presbyterian Church of Dimondale. Cheryl enjoys the programs that UUMC offers, along with the Sunday sermons and belief in the scriptures.
Lucinda Clark is transferring her membership from the former Asbury UMC in Lansing. Lucinda feels very at home at UUMC and is looking forward to getting more involved.
Lee Ann Cushion
Lee Ann Cushion is transferring her membership from the former Asbury UMC in Lansing. Lee Ann, a retired social worker and co-owner of a local business, is interested in social justice, equality and inclusivity.
Byron and Janet Wright
Bryon and Janet are transferring to UUMC from the former Asbury UMC. Long-time United Methodists they are glad to be an official part of UUMC.
Lauree is also transferring her membership from the former Asbury UMC in Lansing. Lauree is passionate about mission outreach and will be heading up a new mission starting soon, where twice a month, UUMC makes lunches for people in need in our community. More information on this new ministry will be coming soon.
