UUMC has an opportunity to support and care for our international sisters and brothers experiencing severe economic and health care crises related to COVID-19 through the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR). In India especially, the healthcare system has been overwhelmed by the sheer number of people infected with COVID-19 and is routinely running out of supplemental oxygen, ventilators, other treatments and hospital beds. Millions have lost employment and have no way to provide food and shelter for their families. You have been very generous in supporting health care workers dealing with COVID-19 patients locally and the Missions Committee is requesting your help now to support health care services and economic aid for our sisters and brothers in India and other areas in need internationally.
