We plan to have our softball season begin on Tuesday, May 25 at Sharp Park in Lansing (1401 Elmwood Rd., Lansing). Teams will play double headers as usual, with either 4 or 5 teams in the league. The emphasis this season will be on playing softball as much as we can, so at times there may be a sharing of players, or a “bye” team stepping in if a team is forfeiting due to COVID issues. The tournament will be held July 30-31. (It may be a one-day event on July 31 if we only have 4 teams in the league.) Safety protocols will be in place and discussed before we begin play. The first practice is planned for Tuesday, May 18 at 6:30 p.m. at Lake Lansing Park North (6260 E. Lake Dr., Haslett). Interested individuals, aged 16 and older, with softball skills are invited to join the team.
