Everything You wanted to Know About Same-Sex Relationships and the Bible But Were Afraid to Ask
Tuesday, October 1, 6:30 p.m.
Asbury Hall
Speaker: Rev. James Magee
Our first lecture in our First Tuesday Lecture Series will be presented by Rev. James Magee.
Rev. Magee received his Bachelors of Theology at the University of Wales from Calvin Theological Seminary. He was a minister in the Lansing area for nearly ten years before having to resign due to his views on same-sex marriage. He then worked as a professor in Korea before moving back to Michigan where he now works as a hospice chaplain.
Join us for this insightful lecture followed by a question and answering session. Refreshments will be served. Please indicate your interest in attending on the Connection Card in the Sunday bulletin, or contact the church office (517) 351-7030 or office@eluumc.org.
At University United Methodist Church, we affirm that as disciples of Jesus Christ, we are an open and inclusive congregation and welcome all persons into full participation regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic situation, age, ability, education, background and whether single or partnered.
