What time and where is the Sunday service?
We offer two worship services on Sunday: traditional service (hymns, piano, organ, instrumentalists) at 9:30 a.m. and REACH service (band-led, more casual, drums, guitars, piano, vocals) at 11:00 a.m. Both services are livestreamed and can also be viewed anytime after airing on our YouTube channel. Our worship services are inclusive and family-friendly. We welcome everyone!
What opportunities are there for children and youth?
Pastor Melanie and our Children and Youth Director, Sara Cardinal, preach the Children’s Message towards the beginning of each worship service. Children are then invited to go to Sunday School with Ms. Sara during the remainder of the service. Children are also welcome to stay in the sanctuary with their parents/guardians or to participate in some hands-on activities in our designated Young Family’s Space (just outside the sanctuary).
Youth Group (ages 4th grade – 11th grade) gathers after the REACH service at noon with Ms. Sara. Lunch is provided.
Are safety protocols in place due to Covid?
Yes. When Covid transmission in Ingham County is low or medium, masks at UUMC are optional, rather than recommended. Masks are available in the church building if you need one. Hand sanitizer is available throughout the building. View our most recent Covid Protocol HERE.
What do I wear?
The simple answer—anything you want! You will see everything from jeans to suits at our services. Come as you are. We’ll be glad to see you.
What do I do during the offering?
Your gift to us is coming to worship. Please, do not feel pressured to give monetarily.
Is the church equipped to serve special needs individuals?
Our building is fully accessible with both elevators and ramps. A looping system is available for those using hearing aids, so please ask whomever is running the audio board in the rear of the sanctuary. Service animals also are welcome to attend our services. Please call ahead to confirm that we are once again meeting in person for worship services.
